About pricing: Starting prices for packaging reviews usually cover one packaging configuration, including the components listed in the quotation. Consultation fees depend on the questions involved, while EPR fees depend on the countries and amount of reporting work. We confirm the final price, services and deliverables before starting.

01 / CONSULTATION

Regulatory Consultation & Requirements Assessment

For businesses that need to understand their packaging obligations before deciding what work is required.

If you are planning to sell packaged products in the EU, importing packaging or entering new markets, we can help you understand which rules may apply. We look at your business activities, packaging and target markets, focusing on the questions covered by your consultation.

This may include PPWR requirements, relevant deadlines, responsibilities in the supply chain or potential packaging EPR obligations. You do not need to have a complete technical file to request a consultation.

What you receive

Written conclusions on the questions covered, relevant regulatory references and recommended next steps, as agreed in the quotation.

02 / DOCUMENTATION

Documentation Review & Gap Analysis

For businesses that already have packaging documentation and need a professional assessment of it.

Documentation Review

We review the documents you provide, including material specifications, supplier declarations, test reports and packaging drawings.

We check whether the information is complete and consistent, and identify anything that needs clarification from your supplier.

What you receive

Written observations and an identification of missing, incomplete or inconsistent information in the documents reviewed.

Compliance Gap Assessment

We compare your packaging documentation with the regulatory requirements included in the assessment. This shows which requirements are supported by the available evidence and where further documents, checks or testing may be needed.

What you receive

A structured written gap assessment, including the requirements examined, supporting evidence reviewed, identified gaps and recommended actions.

03 / TECHNICAL FILES

Technical Documentation Support

For companies preparing, organising or updating packaging technical documentation.

We assist with identifying applicable documentation requirements, organising packaging specifications and supporting records, and connecting available technical evidence with the relevant regulatory requirements.

For EU PPWR projects, this can include support relating to the technical documentation described in Annex VII and the EU Declaration of Conformity, where applicable. The manufacturer remains responsible for the conformity of its packaging and for the declaration it issues.

What you receive

Organised technical documentation, document lists, references to supporting evidence or draft materials to assist with the preparation of the EU Declaration of Conformity, where included in the agreed work.

04 / SPECIALIST SUPPORT

Labelling, Recyclability & EPR Support

Targeted services for companies dealing with a specific packaging requirement or compliance question.

Labelling & Environmental Claims Review

We review packaging labels, material identification information and environmental claims against the regulatory requirements relevant to the agreed markets and claims.

We also consider whether the supporting evidence supplied is sufficient for the specific statements being reviewed.

What you receive

Written findings identifying relevant issues, supporting evidence needed and recommended corrections.

Recyclability Evidence Review

We review the packaging materials, construction and recyclability evidence provided by suppliers. This can include pumps, closures, multilayer materials and other complex packaging.

We identify relevant regulatory questions and evidence gaps. Laboratory testing or a formal recyclability certification is not included unless separately arranged and expressly agreed.

What you receive

A written review of the evidence supplied, outstanding issues and recommended further assessment or testing where needed.

EPR Obligations Assessment

EPR obligations depend on where and how packaged products are sold. The responsible business may be a manufacturer, importer, distributor or online seller, depending on the country and sales arrangements.

We review your business activities and distribution arrangements to identify potential registration, reporting and fee obligations in the countries covered by the assessment.

What you receive

A written assessment of potential obligations and recommended actions for the agreed countries and business activities.

EPR Packaging Data Preparation

We help prepare packaging data for EPR reporting, including material types, components, weights and quantities, for the countries covered by your project.

We check the available data, identify missing information and prepare reporting tables in the agreed format. EPR registrations and reporting submissions are not included in this service.

Structured packaging data and a record of missing or unresolved information, in the agreed format.

PackagingVerify provides consulting and documentation support; it is not a testing laboratory or certification body.
